Got A Few Extra Pounds? |

Paul said that he continues doing what he doesn't want to, but that which he desires to do he cannot do. Another way of saying this is that we are built to break rules. As humans we are meant to find freedom and testing and breaking those rules is part of this human experience. Does this mean that we are here to be stubborn and purposely create drama to get people upset - of course not. However, eating a meal big enough for 3, and then hoping that our bodies love us for it can not be called true freedom. We have to remember that we do live in the real world and there are consequences to all of our actions. At the same time, we are told that the greatest commandment is love and that love never lets us down. And since love never lets us down, what do the 95% of all failing diets tell us? Is there much love there in those diets? So what if we approached our bodies and our overall health with an amazing love that is tender, instead of submitting to someone else's diet - especially knowing that our deep rooted goal is to break free from rules, especially other people's rules. Here are 3 ways you can immediately put to practice in order to show your body more love: 1. The nutritional label reading thing: it's gotta go. I believe that we are made to believe that by reading those things we are gods who then can force our bodies into creating different chemical components for our bodies. Reading the ingredients is a much better and simpler approach. The less ingredients the better the product. And make sure you understand them, because so will your body understand them. 2. Never buy anything that says "light," "fat free," "reduced fat," etc. on it. If you purchase a pack of "red vines" it'll say on the package "fat free" or "0 grams of fat," which leads you to believe that you can "have at it." Nothing could be farther from the truth. Most of these foods are stuffed with chemicals and corn syrup, which your body turns immediately into pure body fat. Our body is the ultimate chemical laboratory and will create the perfect amounts of nutrition as long as you give it foods it actually recognizes. You have to remember, our body's one and only function and purpose is to get us through life in a healthy way, for it to constantly repair itself and renew itself. All we have to do is listen to our body and leave the ego out of it. 3. Nothing can hurt our bodies as much as artificial foods. Just because it says "fat free" doesn't mean that your body won't immediately turn its contents into fat. Instead learn to listen to your body and give it what it wants. Rather than buying artificial sweeteners, a better option is to give it organic sweeteners, such as cactus nectar. Stevia is another alternative and is ideal for diabetics. Your vehicle knows exactly what you give it and it is perfectly capable of transforming natural foods into pure fuel. Fake foods is not digestible for your body and instead it lashes out by creating disease. |
