Alkaline Diet Myths Exploded |

Number one, I want to talk about the idea that it is necessary to stop eating all acid-forming foods if you want to have an ideal acid-alkaline balance. Naturally, this myth could make you reluctant to try at this diet because you would believe that you would have to give up practically all of the foods you enjoy. The good news is that you won't have to. Even the most rigorous programs allow you to consume somewhere between 20 to 35 percent acid foods. A related myth is the idea that the alkaline diet requires you to become a strict vegan. In truth, all meat, poultry, fish, and seafood is acidifying. So are chicken eggs, and virtually all dairy products (except for ghee, or clarified butter). However, this does not mean you need to eliminate these foods completely. On the contrary, it merely means that you will probably need to reduce how much of them you eat. A third myth is that the alkaline diet is a fad diet. In reality, this diet is backed up by decades of scientific research. This diet program isn't just a way to help you lose weight. Instead, attaining a healthy weight it is a side effect of improving your overall health. As you can see, the alkaline diet has fewer drawbacks than you may have realized, but lots of benefits. If you are curious about the alkaline diet, my advice is to try it for a few weeks and see for yourself. |
