Work No. 850 Tate = Fat Loss |

Work No. 850 involves a moving display of art – a series of sprinters running through the halls, covering 86 metres in 12-15 seconds! Martin Creed, the artist behind the exhibit, has hired
a team of 50 semi-professional sprinters to run the length
of the gallery, every 30 seconds, for the next 4 months, at
the cost of £10 an hour. They’ll only stop
‘working’ when the gallery closes at
night. Now, while the media are describing this
‘exhibit’ as ‘gloriously pointless’,
it is in fact a great example of interval training for fat
loss. You see, I always look for an angle on every news
story! Short sprints or spurts of intense exercise for 20-30
seconds, followed by rest, are ideal for effective and quick
fat loss. Many of my clients are using these short intense
circuits to great effect, and the beauty is that you
don’t have to work for hours. Within 20 minutes, made up of a series of short
circuits, you can achieve a great deal, without tying
yourself down to hours of exercise.Long hours of dull,
monotonous cardio are so last century! For 21st Century Fat Loss, it’s all about short,
sharp, intense exercise, followed by 24 hours recovery and
healthy eating, to feed your body and help it burn fat 24
hours a day. Take a leaf out of Work No. 850 and become 'a work of
art'. Every time you look at your work of art – your
body – you should see change, provided you keep the
intensity up and feed it well… |
